FUJIFILM WAKO AUTOMATION TO PROVIDE COMPLIMENTARY IMAGE ANALYSIS SUPPORT TO ACCELERATE COVID-19 FINDINGS

FUJIFILM Wako Automation Corporation, announced today that it will provide free image analysis services to help scientists and researchers rapidly and accurately analyze imaging data that may lead to the next breakthrough on COVID-19. The custom analysis service, as well as additional webinar training offerings, will allow scientists to leverage the full potential of leading open-source platforms including for CellProfiler™, ImageJ, KNIME®, QuPath, Ilastik, and other custom Python scripts.

Scientists and researchers are working around-the-clock to contain and find treatment options to address COVID-19. As a result of the pandemic, conducting research proves to be a challenge[1], according to a poll of BioSpace readers, where 84% of respondents said that COVID-19 was affecting their work. The image analysis support offered by FUJIFILM Wako Automation will enable scientists and researchers to continue to evolve lab research and advance experiments.

FUJIFILM Wako Automation is offering two core support services to fit the varied needs of lab scientists:

Webinar Training Support:  To provide assistance with complex imaging datasets, FUJIFILM Wako Automation will host monthly “Ask an Expert” webinars intended for scientists and researchers to ask questions and share ideas about image analysis. Image analysis experts will be available to provide support with 3D analysis, segmentation, colocalization, translocation assays, and mitochondrial tracking.
